Theodore Dwight Myers went home to be with our LORD on Tuesday, March 3, 2026.   A Memorial Service to honor the life of Theodore will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Hill Street Baptist Church (135 Hill St.), at 1pm.    

James Woodrow Wright, Sr., went home to be with our LORD on Saturday, February 28, 2026.   A Funeral Service to honor the life of James will be held on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at Community Baptist Church (103 Burton St.), at 1:30pm. He will lie in state one half hour prior to the service. There will be NO viewing prior to Sunday. The service will be live streamed on Avery's Memorial Chapel's Facebook page.

Zacora Searles went home to be with our LORD on Friday, February 27, 2026.   A Funeral Service to honor the life of Zacora will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at Sycamore Temple Church of God in Christ (376 Hendersonville Rd), at 1pm. She will lie in state one hour prior to the service. Viewing will be held at Avery's Memorial Chapel on Friday, March 27, 2026, from 12pm – 7pm. The service will be live streamed on Avery's Memorial Chapel's Facebook page.

Mr. Barnard Holley, 77 passed away on February 24, 2026, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. Barnard was born in Alexander City, Alabama to the late A. Jake and Maggie Holley.   He moved to Swannanoa NC as a child where he grew up.  Barnard was a member of Macedonia AME Zion Church.
